４５５日目『石のスープ』
He saerched and searched, rubbing his tummy,but he just couldn't find anything yummy.
どこを探しても食べ物は見つかりません。
Finaly, the Bear decided he would look for away, whatever happened, he would find food today!
"Hello, there," the Bear said with a smile in his eyes "Good evening." the animals replied with surprise.
動物たちにできる限り良いところを話しました。
彼が遠くから食べ物を探しに来たことを。
クマは尋ねました。
”Do you have something to eat？”
すると動物たちは答えます。
"Times are hard, we've got nothing to share."
シェアできるものは何もない、という動物たちにクマは驚きました。
しかし、
"Then it's good I'm here," said the Bear with a smile
"I'll make the best soup you've had in a while."
he showed them the stone hi held in his hand.
"Make us yummy soup,' they said to him.
動物たちは「美味しいスープを私たちにつくって。」と彼にいいました。
"Wait, I'll just give it a taste ."
待っててください。差し上げますから。
"Just a little taste would probably do"
ほんの少し味がするだろう。
a stone soup tastes better with carrot and peops.
石のスープはにんじんやまめと一緒ならもっと良くなるだろう。
If I had onions, and potatoes as well.
もし玉ねぎやじゃがいもがあったなら、もっと良くなるだろう。
then this soup would be more than swell.

The table was set, the friends sat around,
テーブルがセットされ、友達はまわりに座りました。
そして、
the scrumptious soup was all gulped down.
すごく美味しいスープをすべて飲み干しました。
Who ever thought that a simple stone,
would make a tummy soup all on its own.
ただの石でこんなに美味しいスープができるなんて、誰が思ったでしょう。
